Another damn artist comes grunting out of the salt marsh.

There are lots and lots of very skilled and experienced Cape Cod artists. I’m not one of them. I’m just an old guy who used to be pretty good at volleyball and who now draws stuff with charcoal and pastels. Turns out I love, love, love doing it. A few friends have insisted I share some of my work with the world.

So here we are.

I drew a lot when I was a kid, but stopped drawing almost 50 years ago and didn’t pick up a pencil again until March 2023. My only “training” is from the University of YouTube (with a major in “Trial and Error”), so every drawing is a learning experience. As I say, I love, love, love it. And I seem to have a knack for it, so long as I’m patient with myself and draw what I actually see and not what I think I see. There’s probably a larger lesson in there somewhere.

Feel free to contact me on the link above or at capescapesstudio@yahoo.com

Thank you for visiting. I’m lucky and grateful to share some of this work with you.

Peace.

Tom
